Category Manager

We are now looking for an experienced Procurement Group Category Manager to join our team and contribute to our purpose of making sustainable impact through long-term partnerships.
About the role
As a Category Manager, you play a key role as we build up and implement our new strategic purchasing process, supporting entire Group operations. Your focus will be on opex spend, where the most important categories are related to O&M. You will be responsible for building up strategic partnerships, identifying new strategic suppliers and negotiate framework contracts. Also you will have a big role in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Your office location will be in Sweden, but your operative area covers all countries where Adven is operating. Your colleagues will be located in Sweden and Finland and you will be reporting to VP, Procurement & Strategy (located in Finland).
Your role will include:
- Developing and implementing category strategies
- Key person in framework contract negotiations
- Monitoring supplier performance
- Supporting business units in procurement topics
- Developing the procurement processes in collaboration with the rest of the procurement team
The preferred location for this position is at our Stockholm office, but another Adven office in Sweden can also be considered.
What we are looking for
We believe you’ll succeed in this role if you have:
- Proven, at least 5 years’ experience in industrial procurement category management and supply chain (energy business or heavy industry is preferred)
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong track in managing procurement processes
- Experience using procurement systems
- Relevant degree in business or engineering
- Fluency in both Swedish and English
- Structured, proactive and safety-oriented working style
