We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Latvia!

Your role:

As an IT infrastructure specialist, you will be responsible for leading, planning, and following up on the organization's IT infrastructure in the Latvia business unit. You will work with, among other things, communications, networks, servers, and cloud platforms to ensure a stable and secure IT environment. The role combines operational work close to the business with strategic decisions and solutions regarding technology investments and external collaborations. You will work closely with colleagues from the IT department across the Group, local business managers, and external partners.

Work tasks:

• Implement and manage company network solutions in close collaboration with the business
• Ensure the functioning and management of hardware, applications, and associated client environments in collaboration with the support team and business
• Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure both on-premises and in the datacenter with a focus on reliability and performance
• Act as a coordinator to external partners for security-related tasks such as patch management, backup, access management, and network security
• Contribute to the development of and compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations such as ISO-27001 and NIS2
• Document technical configurations and processes for efficient and sustainable management

We are looking for a professional who:

• Have several years of experience in IT infrastructure and networks
• It is an advantage if you have training in network management and network architecture.
• Have experience working with both internal and external stakeholders
• Have experience working with Datacenter environments and cloud solutions
• Understand information security
• Are fluent in Latvian and have a good knowledge of English in speech and writing, as it is required for daily communication with external partners and colleagues abroad
• Holds a B-category driving license to visit Adven production sites across the country

Technologies you should be familiar with:

• Office365, Hybrid AD, Azure
• MS Teams
• VmWare
• Citrix, VNC, TeamViewer, MS RDP
• Cisco - the main brand for core and business-critical networking in Adven
• General understanding of SCADA (Industrial Control Systems)
